Creative Legacy explores Victoria University of Wellington’s creative past, present and future. Manifested through the book Creative Victoria, the STQRY app and now this website, Creative Legacy is driven by students at its core. It looks across the University at all of its disciplines and the creativity that sparks in every one of them.
It might be in the form of a painting, a dance collective, science research, a mathematical model, a heritage building, a publication or even a room where students sit and share ideas. Creativity knows no limits. Rachel Barrowman, author of Creative Victoria, writes that the University established ‘the creative arts as not only a legitimate but a vital part of the institution and its work.’
This site presents a sampling not only of the creative activity that has come out of the University, but also its engagement with creative and cultural life beyond its doors.
